My name is Tim Schimick and I am a 1998 graduate of the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City. After setting up a practice following my graduation, I returned to the classroom to study the 10 Session System of Structural Integration, (aka Rolfing) designed by Dr. Ida Rolf. I stayed on at UCMT for another year as a teaching assistant of Deep Tissue Bodywork and Structural Integration, learning the nuances and intricacies of the human structure and how it relates to gravity and continues to function based on individual activity levels and habits. After 13 years of practicing physical bodywork I finally gave in to my curiosity and returned to school to learn acupuncture and Oriental medicine and received my Master's of Science from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in 2014.

My fascination with the human structure has lead me to hours of self study and has helped me to hone my bodywork skills, allowing me to tailor each session to the needs of the individual and provide a session dedicated to their personal health goals and concerns.

Being active has always been part of my life; from running cross country in high school, to playing ultimate frisbee and softball, to competing in marathons and culminating in finishing the Ironman Triathlon in Madison in 2010. With my activity level, training and competing of course came aches, pains and injuries. Having experienced these things first hand has given me an unique ability to communicate and connect with athletes of all levels and help them reach their fitness and health goals by maintaining alignment and balance in their bodies.

My physical bodywork sessions are rooted in Structural Integration and Myofascial Release, with an emphasis on relieving chronic pain and discomfort. Using a variety of modalities, including Deep Tissue to Craniosacral Therapy, a space of healing and relaxation is created, allowing the client to release stress and other patterns that hinder the body’s ability to heal itself.
