State Licensed Acupuncturist

Masters Degree in Acupuncture
an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, I combine my empathic intuitive sensitivities, body centered therapeutic approach with an in depth training in acupuncture, traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Herbology, and Shiatsu. I am influenced by tuina (massage), qi gong, tai chi, ecstatic dance, yoga, intention holding, and music to create a receptive, present, and conscious space for your healing process to unfold.
I once heard the saying: "those practicing western allopathic medicine (MDs) are the fire-fighters of healthcare, excelling at addressing emergencies and treating conditions that have gotten out of hand; while those practicing eastern medicine are like the housekeepers, excelling at keeping the patient healthy and addressing conditions before they become severe." The job of the housekeeper, the eastern medical practitioner, is not to sweep the dust under the rug, but to open the windows when it’s sunny (or close them if its raining outside) and to keep the house and body clean and in good condition.
As a healer and housekeeper, my intention and training is to bring awareness to the root level of an issue. Much of the current healthcare system is focused on pruning the branches, or removing symptoms. This way certainly has its place in healthcare, but my approach is to address all levels that are ready to heal. I spend the time to look at your life--your health history, your habits, diet, and attitudes. All of this is taken into account in formulating your treatment plan.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are by nature multi-faceted. Simultaneously addressing physical and emotional imbalances. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are especially appropriate and effective at treating complex conditions. I address both chronic and acute conditions in adults and children.
