Yoga is unity of perception and Francesca, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, teaches yoga as a tool with which to observe and commune with inner thoughts, habits and feelings. She encourages mindful holds with attention to the breath in poses to support exploration of the spaces within your body and to facilitate an environment of openness to oneself.
Having personally utilized the healing aspects of yoga for body, mind and spirit, Francesca offers a unique and empirical perspective to her students. She sees and meets you where you are in your new or existing practice and can work with you on specific needs or concerns involving your asana, mediation, relaxation or lifestyle concerning yoga.
Francesca discovered yoga when she was a teenager after reading a book titled, "The Yoga System of Health and Relief from Tension," by Yogi Vithaldas and became fascinated with the mind-body connection. She began a regular yoga and meditation practice in 2006, studied at the Himalayan Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy from 2010 to 2014 and received both her 200 hour teaching certification and her 500 hour teaching certification. She is an E-RYT, "Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher," through the Yoga Alliance and has over 2,000 hours of yoga teaching experience in private therapy settings, yoga studios, and public and private schools on both the East and West coast. She is a member of the 'International Association of Yoga Therapists.'
She is also trained in the Children's Yoga Program, "Take Five," developed by a Yoga Therapist, E-RYT and RCYT to teach children how to self-regulate and to promote health and wellness among children. She is available and authorized to teach this program to Yoga Teachers to implement this program into children's yoga classes and to teachers to implement into their classrooms.
She blends her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, her background and training as a Professional Organizer, over 20 years as a competitive artistic roller figure skater and her on-going study of the yogic lifestyle to support people to live simply and in optimal health.
